i'm starting to feel old
for the first time in my life, i'm starting to feel old. a strange development, as i am not even 22, but i think that i just hang out with 30 somethings too much. they're all about marriage and children and getting divorced and then messing about with people young enough to BE their children. ironically, these are also usually the people that always inquire as to when Derek and myself will be getting married. i have yet to come up with a witty, yet sarcastic answer to that.
my brother is getting married in June, and to a girl that is so tiny as to threaten microscopic status. i'm one of her bridesmaids, and i am literally the only one over 5'4 and 110 pounds. it should be a day full of love, cake, and a heaping side of awkwardness for me. fortunately, the month before that, derek will be a groomsman in an Irish Catholic wedding in tampa, and i will be kind of an honorary bridesmaid. i'm loving this wedding, because not only does it promise to be much more lively than my brother's southern Baptist (completely dry!!!) wedding, but the bride and groom decided to stock the bar with an entire keg of Guinness. :)
