(no subject)
I am just days away from leaving Iqaluit. It is sort of sad, but the more I think about it, I can't wait to go. I couldn't imagine returning to high school in September, it wouldn't feel right. It's like I've outgrown it, and I need to move on to the next set of challenges: University. Plus, I'm really tired of all the pettyness that goes on in High school, like stupid fights and people that I've outgrown. Anyways, I'll stop myself before I sound like a total snob who thinks they're better than their classmates (which I don't). I just think that I need a couple months without seeing them.
Naya and Megan and Paul left on Friday, which was a bit sad. But I will hopefully see them a couuple times before Christmas. I want to call them, but I left the number at work, so I have to wait until Monday. I might have even deleted the email with it. Oops! I will call them though.
Fauna and I went for lunch today. It was fun. I got a chef salad with cheese,turkey and ham and I got two spring rolls. Yum! Fauna got Wonton soup and vegetable fried noodles. It was good.
Last night I went to a party. It was kind of fun, but it almost felt like I was too old to be partying. Which is ironic, as I am actually too young to be partying. I dunno, I had fun but I left early - which was a good thing b/c these ppl showed up outside and wanted to fight and my friends had to call the cops. They also made a huge Birthday cake, which wasn't really eaten and ended up being used as ammunition for a big, gross icing fight. I managed to avoid that. It was really stupid and gross.
Yesterday I picked up film that I had developed, b/c I wanted a picture of Naya and I together, b/c I have absolutely no pictures of us. Anyway, of the three films I sent in, none had any photos of Naya. Except for one photo I took while she was driving, I wanted to get her eyes in the rearview mirror. Somehow that shot ended up in panoramic mode, which I didn't know my camera even had, and her eyes had shifted, so I didn't quite work out. I saved it, though.
