I have to say, she is certainly going about this in the most intelligent way possible. Since she isn't necessarily taking the highest bidder, she can weed out the vast majority of applicants by demanding background checks, full STD screens, and even full body pictures should she desire. And since she is going through a well known and established brothel, she really isn't in much danger. She is pretty much guaranteed to make a wad and get out of it safe and sound (ignoring a potentially tarnished image for years to come).
