New Game

I'm flirting with that 'no adverts' rule, I know... But I just started a new game and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good way to find players? I already posted in every advert community I could find, but it looks like the only people who join those are other mods looking for players and no players looking for games. So I went and looked for communities where players could pimp themselves instead of mods pimping thier games and I found a couple that were HP-only. (mine's pan-fandom)

And what the hell is with all the HP and celeb games out there? o.O

So any advice? All I've gotten so far is "Well, you kind of just have to be lucky" and my luck rather stinks...
