You know, I am pretty sure I can't be the only one who thinks this doesn't suit me. I mean, aside from the whole slavery thing which is clearly moronic -- I'm really not sure this look is flattering on me. Tight leather is more a Sheppard thing, and since I'm not planning on romancing any alien priestesses soon it's clearly not something I'm going ( Read more... )

[Poland has cashed in on his androgyny avoid both the slavery and the tight pants, because neither of those are really his time. So he borrowed clothes from the Fool, and if only so many people around here didn't already know he's a dude, no one would be the wiser!]

Dude, leather that tight isn't a good look for anyone. Even the ones who have the figure for it look totally trashy~

Yes, well, tell that to this place! I'd do something about it, but as you can see none of us have much of a choice hmm?

Well, we kinda do, but I so don't think you could pull off something like this ♥

Because clearly my current predicament is better. -- Actually, you know what? Don't answer that. I think my pride has taken enough of a beating over the several months we've been stuck here.

Honey, I've totally been here for over a year now. Don't even talk to me about that.

Honey? Excuse me? Also, if we're comparing track records -- I've been here a year myself and my teammates have arrived and left again! Without me!

Liet came here and left twice before he stayed, and Russia and Germany won't stay away. I mean, okay, they're not at their worst right now, but Germany's still awkward to be around and Russia's still a creep, and I haven't seen a single one of my people in all these months. I thought I heard my language for a minute, and then it turns out it's just some Czech!

Oh, that's probably Radek. But what is with you people and being named after countries?

Reply

liekomgedingly March 11 2010, 01:33:58 UTC
Yeah, I like, think that was his name.

...You've like, been here for a year and no one's explained that? We're totes not named after anything. We're nations. We're like, an avatar-kinda-thing of countries the way you think of them--like, the soul of a nation, or however you wanna say it. We're born when a culture starts to develop, live with it, and die when it falls completely. Whatever happens to our people happens to us. Seriously, all these nations around and no one ever told you?

No, no I'm pretty sure I've heard that before but -- you know, not a hippy. I would have assumed the lack of long hair or belief in higher powers would have clued people in here.

Ummm, what do hippies have to do with anything? This is just how it is!

[Poland didn't really have a hippie movement. The sixties and seventies were too full of COMMUNIST OPPRESSION for that shit :\]

Yes, and I'm sure you felt very cool and different in high school while making love potions and vodoo spells but some of his like to focus on reality here.

I'm talking about reality, dupek! I never went to high school. I studied with priests and monks when I was young, and went to the university in Kraków when Jadwiga was alive, because she was always all on about education being important, but by the time high schools were a thing, I was coming up on a thousand!

And I am Catholic. I have been since like, 966. Witchcraft is totally a sin, 'kaythanks.

They were like, the ones who knew how to read when I was small. Especially Latin, 'cause like, my bosses wanted me to know that so I could get along with Vatican. Way important in the middle ages, y'know?
