[ And this is Rodney -- not exactly hiding, but lurking protectively outside his base and taking notes on the flickering. He's looking for any rate of change, any clue that it's going to stop soon or finally overload. He doesn't want to LEAVE his equipment, but he feels like he should keep an eye on things out here too

Of course, he doesn't yet notice Rodney himself, nor is he entirely aware if Saix is even still following him. Before making any further investigation, he decides to test the latter.]
Is he here?

... yes. [His eyes are still flickering and he still feels sick, but he's feeling a little better now that he isn't focused on the fact that, y'know, the very person he used to be keeps changing. Instead, he's focused on what's happening here and now, because it isn't changing -- well. It isn't changing nearly as bad, if that makes any sense at all.]
[Anyway, this is Sacks walking over to you, Rodney.] ... ah... ... [he doesn't really know what to say, so instead he's going to lean against his claymore and let the other two do the talking, k]

Can I help you...?
[ He's glancing at Saix for a clue to whats going on.

You are the man called Rodney, correct?

Then you are the one responsible for this...alteration in the world?

What have you been told?

Is this the truth?

Ah, ok yes, but -- before you make any rash decisions I think you should hear me out.

... I'm afraid you didn't consider the opinions of those who do not wish to return... [he doesn't sound mad or anything, so it's clear he's not really siding with Gabranth, he's just trying to explain]
[and, well, okay. he's going to open his eyes briefly to make eye contact with Rodney, trying to show that he's here for him -- like. ... oh, he doesn't even know how to say what he means any more without sounding pathetic. he's here to protect you, and nothing's going to happen to you if he has anything to say about it]
[... then again, considering his condition, maybe it wasn't such a smart idea to do this. ughhhhh this shit is really messing with his ability to think >:|]

If you have a case to make for yourself, then make it-- and be quick about it.

[ Hesitates and tries to think of the best way to word this. ]
If this even works, what I am doing will not destroy this world forever. It'll just let me and anyone who wants to escape. If you want to stay you can just -- I don't know, wait to be put back in. And I am sorry if this is better than your home world but you know what? Some of us have friends and family we are worried about and would really like to leave. I promise you -- look explaining it would most likely be a waste of time but the short version is, if this works we wake up from a dream. You can just go back to sleep again while I make my stupid escape attempt.

If you insist upon continuing this any further, I will have no choice but to take action.

Oh, and on that topic? If you were dead already don't you think this place must have had some way of at least temporarily undoing that to let you in here? Maybe they can do it again, I don't know. Maybe you'll stay alive anyway when you wake, I don't know!
[ Glares at you, then glances sideways at Saïx nervously ]
-- Besides, I don't know what action you intend to take but I very much doubt it'll do anything to stop this.
[ IE PLEASE DON'T HURT HIM ]

[and he had reached that exact line of logic -- well, that first one -- long before they finally found Rodney] Gabranth, he speaks truth. Think of Yako. If this is her chance to escape this [damn] place and go home, would you really stop it?
