[Playing the villain is nothing new to HAL. This exact setting, however, is a different story.
Of course, the requisite dark castle (just how many of these can we fit in this world, anyway?) is reminiscent of his pyramid, but there is no paradoxical quality to its design, and whoever saw fit to replace his shirt and slacks with these gaudy robes is going to have hell to pay.
On top of all that, there appears to be this... minion following him.
He isn't sure what to do with it, although a small voice is telling him to loose it upon the townspeople. Hmm.]
