[ This is typical. Entirely typical. People are swimming around as -- ok not highly attractive, but relatively attractive mer-people and, what is Rodney?
A fish. A slightly out of shape and particularly grumpy [ clown fish ], which is pretty much as close as I can get to what Flounder was in The Little Mermaid if you were wondering. Yes, this is better than being locked in a cell he supposes. But at least in that tiny, uncomfortable and claustrophobia inducing cell he was still human! You know, opposable thumbs and all! And now he is an incredibly bitchy fish. I bet you didn't know fish can be bitchy. Well, if any fish can then a Rodney McKay fish can. What do clown fish even eat anyway? He bets he wont like it.
