You can call me Cosmo! I'm 24 years old and recovering from covid currently, so I've got some time to kill. My TZ's cst and my pronouns are they/them. Being sick in bed has left me with a lot of brainstorming time for stories, so I'd love to write something with someone!
Got three settings I'm interested in writing at the moment!
- Dark fantasy adventure. A little more fantastical than something like medieval fantasy though! I'm talking flying ships and floating crystal caverns and mystical creatures and dead gods and prophecies. Or maybe even failing prophecies where The Chosen One loses. ;)
- Apocalyptic monsters! Doesn't have to be zombies, just an apocalypse with monster-like creatures or threat in general. I do have a specific pairing in mind for one storyline - a (legal) age gap flip with the younger being the dominant one, but that pairing's not required and we can nix it if you'd be more comfortable otherwise.
- Horror? Adventure...?? Survival...??? Mystery...???? I don't know how to describe it! Inspired by the podcast The Hotel, SCPs, The Magnus Archives, small town horror. Characters stuck in an awful, creepy situation try to get out of it.
Partner requirements:
- 20+, I'm 24! Sorry to 18/19 year old writers, I'm at that point where I don't feel comfy writing with teenagers lol.
- Be comfortable writing smut! Not at all the focus of my stories but I enjoy writing it when it comes up. However I do not write with people who only write submissive/bottom characters, no matter what their personality is outside of bed - been burned too many times. I write versatile characters and expect the same from you, or to just let our characters find themselves. *Not applicable to one apocalypse storyline
- Writes casts. I like fleshing out worlds and writing multiple characters and pairings. It helps keep the plot going. *Not applicable to one apocalypse storyline
- Comfortable with worldbuilding. This is gonna be an entire world, so effort from both ends! :D I really wanna get into all the nooks and crannies of stuff.
- Writes character relationships other than romance. I love writing charas have different connections and feelings about each other! (Also, snarky sibling banter is aaaaalways fun lol.) *Also not applicable to one apocalypse storyline
- Writes queer relationships! I only have interest in writing m//, f//, and nb/any. I can write any and everything under the sun with a cast though! ^u^

So sorry, I wrote the wrong email when I drafted this post! This is the correct email to reach me. I roleplay and plot through email. I reeeeeally don't like using Discord at all, sorry! Messenger apps put pressure on me and make me lose interest. >.< Can be persuaded to use it for ooc though.
Pleeeease give me more info than just a "are you open to rp?" or "hey I wanna rp." Those messages will be ignored. Introduce yourself and what you're looking to write.
Writing and other relevance:
- I write in third person, past tense, advanced lit, multi para style. I like writing! A lot! Hopefully you do too! I am def not a single para person and probably won't suit you at all if you are! 😅
- Can respond anywhere from every day to every other day to once a week or so depending on how much is being written! Will not suit you if you're very strict on a specific schedule! I'm very lax when it comes to responses and will not hound you for them, and I expect the same from you.
- Love adventure, action, drama, mystery, overlaying storylines, et cetera! I'm super into horror too, esp when it's paired with romance. Don't ask me why horror and romance go hand-in-hand to me, I have no idea. I don't like writing just romance, I find it kinda boring without other factors in the story lol.
Here's some more info on what I've got floatin' around in my brain at the moment.
Fantasy:
- I have one established set-up! It involves a continent-sized tree to the sky, plant-based magic, a blight, and non-corporeal gods choosing vessels/warriors (which means that as a mortal representative/favorite they get full magic and eventual eternal success if they make it through a trial of the gods - which is like questing and battling other vessels). Too lengthy for this so I'll be happy to elaborate if you're interested! All in all I want to write a cool adventure story with multiple whimsical (or frightening?) locations and characters, with a potential war of the gods breaking out that our characters are focused on preventing. There are four main branches of the tree and four different groups of worship dedicated to the four respective main gods, each themed after the seasons.
1) A comes from a group of worship and has lived an extremely secluded life (no outsiders except for monthly airship deliveries), is chosen by an extremely lesser dying god as their vessel and ventures out of their very secular life to the world below for plot reasons. B is the lesser god who selected them. OR: B is from the exact opposite - not at all religious and troubled by political strife/war with people due to the blight. A discovers that the people outside of their community are not at all what they were taught to believe. The two form an unconventional team and set out to fix things. Preferably B is not noble but can be!
2) Based on above, with tweaks: A is chosen by an extremely powerful god - and wants absolutely nothing to do with it. They run away and throw everything out the window, and runs into B along the way, an airship deliveryperson either regularly or also on the run (maybe a thief? the political landscape of the world below is not very sound, after all), or an innkeeper or similarly common person who crosses paths with someone intended to be extraordinary. Whether they like it or not the two of them end up tangled together in a messy prophecy neither of them want anything to do with.
3) A is either from this worshipping group or some other background that involves a life of expectation and is fully prepared to become a god's chosen vessel. They've been preparing for this their entire life and nothing is going to get in their way wait what do you mean B is the chosen champion instead. B somehow manages to crash the selection - I like the idea of them being a thief who has no idea an item they stole is old magic or just a random no one who was in the right place at the right time and somehow, for some reason, a god chose them as a vessel. A is convinced this is a fluke or a horrible accident, and the two of them pair up to fix it. After all, A has been preparing for this their entire life - B slept in a barn last night and wouldn't make it two days without A's guidance (according to A).
All of these involve getting into Chosen One trope stuff, dismantling it or subverting it or something. It also involves a lot of political stuff and cool magic powers and destiny and sea monsters. I like the idea of godhood being kind of eerie/cryptic in nature and not always good or heroic.
Pairing ideas:
- Noble-dealing-with-political-issues-and-preventing-their-kingdom-from-going-into-war-and-magic-is-so-not-helping-what-do-you-mean-the-gods-are-going-to-war-too? x Knight (I'd write the knight here; I have a specific knight character in mind and their whole devoted hopeless pining is my bread and butter). The two end up on a journey (maybe even defying the kingdom?) and end up getting involved with things much bigger than they would have ever imagined
- Cat burglar x Person-they-stole-from-who-chased-them-down-and-whoops-turns-out-what-they-stole-is-cursed-and-now-we're-both-cursed-I-can't-believe-you-did-this-to-me
- Magical-Chosen-One x Mot-a-Magical-Chosen-One-but-person-who-chose-to-involve-themself-because-they're-a-hero-at-heart-even-if-they-don't-believe-it (either enemies at first, working in tandem, or a bit of both)
- Sworn knight to a (turned) evil noble x Person sworn to kill said noble
- Runaway x Wanted airship runaway. Now we're both on the run
- Ex-gladiator/god's champion x Person who is going to bring the whole foundation down
- Person from a community that lives in fear of a nearby god that was chosen as a sacrifice and is very angry at said community for this x The god who decided to give them power instead and chose them as their vessel
Aren't interested in any of this but wanna write fantasy? No prob! Tell me everything you've got in mind. :D
Apocalypse:
- Zombies are at the main forefront but if that's not your thing then any other creature-based fear will work. I like creatures having a twist or theme instead of being just bloodthirsty devourers. Straight up zombies are a bit boring to me.
1) Something with the infection or creatures having a previous hivemind functionality. Now they're cut off from it and are roaming to reconnect with anything, which is why they attack humans to overtake them?
2) Erratic buglike parasitic creatures with this hivemind functionality. Maybe cocoon stuff. Maybe instead of biting, the whole thing is to avoid being stung. No idea! Bugs are just very creepy to me so this would be my worst fear lol.
3) Tree/plant creatures! :D Maybe fae inspired? Vines in the veins, choking on plant matter growing inside you when you're infected, infectious sap, maybe also a hivemind as a reference to tree root systems. Maybe they can hunker down in forests when resting and it's hard to tell what's a tree and what isn't? You avoid traveling through the woods at all costs. I'm thinking fucked up wandering tree creatures that can infect humans with a virus to either kill and take them over or spread it? Idk!
4) Something inspired by Local 58! A type of infectious moonsickness, avoiding traveling in moonlight, not looking at the moon, stuff like that. Not a 1:1 thing, I just think evil moonlight stuff is cool. ^u^
5) Doppelganger stuff? A creature that replicates you? Replacing people with copies? No idea! Very scary to me though. Could maybe go hand-in-hand with above somehow.
6) Alien invasion! No idea what they'd be like but I'm sure we can think up something creepy together, or use one of the other ideas written and make it aliens! I've always kinda liked them and never written one before. Could be fun! Inspired by 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Mist, The Thing, etc. Not the creature/aliens but just the vibe.
7) Biblical apocalypse!
8) Werewolf-like? Not straight up werewolves! But a disease spread through biting that contorts and mutilatess the body and such.
Or anything else! I'd prefer apocalyptic instead of post-apocalyptic, but I can write that too. :D
Pairing ideas:
- The age gap I mentioned earlier, in reverse. The younger one is the more dominant of the two, both in personality and otherwise. The whole thing won't hinge on smut, though! Though that'll come up, if that's your main goal it won't be a fit since like I said I prioritize story. I'm mostly interested in flipping around a common dynamic. I can write either role, I have ideas for both. With this storyline I'd be alright not writing a cast! But I can also still write a cast hahaha.
- Survivors who do not get along but are forced to work together and things grow
- Two friends from before the outbreak who decide to stick together. It's not easy when you don't trust anyone but each other
- Two people searching for someone else. Maybe one's looking for their sibling and one's looking for their friend - who are paired up together on the other side of the country. In this storyline we'd flip between writing these two and the respective other duo when relevant, so we could write tons of diff characters
- Honestly just anything!
???:
No name for this one! Inspired by various media. I just want some spooky otherworldly setting. To give you an idea of what I mean!
1) Inspired by the podcast The Hotel. Not directly ofc! A hotel/motel that changes shape and location and draws specific guests in. The staff all go by their roles: the Bellboy, the Maid, the Manager, the Janitor, etc. The Manager is the entity that runs it all and no one has ever seen it. No one who's entered the hotel has ever left. The guests drawn in are all killed in specific ways relating to their wrongdoings. Maybe the staff are all created by the Manager or maybe they were guests who survived and were assimilated into the whole thing and don't remember who they were. Maybe it's something bigger! A is a guest who isn't killed, and B is a staff member who helps them survive and make it through the hotel. The two of them hatch a plan to escape, either on their own or bringing in other staff/guests. I did want to do a nb/m line for this, with me writing the staff member - an amab nb character I already have, but this can just be m// (or f// or nb/f) if you'd want otherwise.
2) Small town horror set in a (you guessed it) small town radio station. Disappearances, strange frequencies, no idea what the whole plot will be but that's the bare bones! A and B are both radio employees and notice something fishy going on, or maybe A is a radio host and B is someone who went missing and returned with no memory or something. No clue!
3) Inspired by SCP foundation! A foundation that deals with the strange and unusual. Two characters who are partnered up: A considers it a promotion and B considers it a demotion. OR: A is a guard and B is an entity. OR: A is an agent and B is a truck driver who delivers cargo - never asks questions because of how much they pay. One night they discover their delivery parcel is more than it seems: maybe the (presumed) dead body of A who was "killed" for getting too involved in stuff and now the both of them have to outrun this foundation, or some creature that escapes that A comes in to clean up the mess and B gets involved with more than truck deliveries.
Contact me if interested! I'd love writing whatever you think of too if none of this is your thing! :D
