Looking for literate storytellers!

I’m a 25 y/o female looking for literate writing partners. I would love to find a partner interested in and capable of advanced literate - novella style writing, upwards of 500+ words. My passion is writing stories where we develop our characters as the story progresses.
Hoping for a partner who’s just as into world-building and coming up with a story together, and who is cool with OOC chatter and side plotting as we write. Sometimes I get ideas or thoughts for plot shifts/surprises, and would love a partner who likes to share their thoughts too!
Romance is a must for me, but I enjoy dark themes, the supernatural, historical settings, etc. I prefer to avoid modern and slice-of-life, and typically RP as a female opposite a male (can be played by anyone who writes as male). More below!
Preferences, Desires & More
• 21+ only
• Replies: At least once a week, although I recently have managed multiple a day. However, I do work and take classes, both full-time, so my schedule is subject to change. I will give notice if I need time.
• Plot > Smut. Smut is welcomed, but should be used as a means of developing the plot, and make sense in the context of the story. And I’d prefer it not make up more than 30% of the story, if that.
- Advanced literate -> Novella style. We’re talking 500+ words, and I often double that. Do you like writing in detail, sharing what your character is thinking, feeling and seeing, and describing the world around them? That’s what I’m looking for!
- 3rd person only, past-tense preferred
- I am not part of any fandoms, and prefer we stick to original content. This also means I will not play celebrities or pre-set characters.
- Please collaborate with me on the plot and development of the story. I lose interest very quickly if I feel I’m dragging it along by myself, or if it seems my partner doesn’t have much interest in pitching in or discussing the story.
- Favored genres/topics/settings: Historical [should be believable, i.e. no jeans in a medieval setting, but I don’t ask for or need historical accuracy, unless we both want it]; Drama; Romance; Damsels-in-distress (i.e. danger magnets, but not weak or feeble characters); Tough, dark characters opposite light and gentle ones; Dark themes (betrayal, abuse, heartbreak, death - not our characters, drugs, alcohol, etc.); Supernatural; Vampires; Fantasy. Please note that no theme HAS to be included, and if there’s anything you’re not comfortable with, it can be left out.

I’m also happy to write in another forum-like app. However, I do not use Discord and prefer to avoid messenger apps, especially for writing stories.
