The Wizarding War ended with the deaths of Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald in 1925. Each falling to their own obsessions with power. The ministry was a flutter of reform after that, many liberal fighting for equality for Muggleborns, Halfbreeds and those with creature blood alike. Many with old, corrupted beliefs were stricken from their places of power.
It is 1996... the world still feels somewhat new. But there is a stirring...
