what's up? i'm Lake and i'm looking for some partners to pass the time. i'm over 20 + under 30, reside in central time zone, have been roleplaying for about 13 years, looking to write some m x m.🌱

»quality over quantity, but hard pass on one paragraph. 3-400 words average, about 1-2,000 for intros. length depends on the scene.
»looking for partners around my age, so i'm shooting past 18+ into the 21+ range; i just don't feel comfortable writing with teenagers. likewise don't feel comfortable writing teenagers, my youngest characters tend to be around 25+. (bonus points if we write "older" characters, aka 30+)
»i've got a sporadically scheduled job, so i'm not always consistent. i can reply around a couple times/once a week or multiple times a day depending on my schedule, so i need a patient partner. we won't work out if you require consistency, i have a life outside of roleplaying. talking/plotting often ooc does not inherently imply i'm free enough to write a response.
     »ghost friendly. it happens.
»will only wrote oc x oc. if we're doing a fandom setting i pref not to involve canon characters.
»i like writing smut - not as much as writing an actual story itself, but it's a fun outlet, sue me. will only write with people who write vers characters or write multiple characters with different roles in bed, been burned too many times writing with those who only write bottoms or submissive characters so it's an automatic no from me.
»only going to sway the above rule if the character who takes on a more submissive role/bottoms is the more buff/broad/tall/intimidating, etc of the two. i like trope subversions.
»strictly rp through email. open to google docs, but i've never done it before.      »majority of the stuff i want to write requires side characters or mult mains. gonna be honest, a huge draw in rping for me beyond romance is found family and world exploration.
»open to side characters/pairings of any gender, just want to do m x m as a main if we're not writing multiple mains.

couple of settings i'm looking for atm.

i. pacific rim. huge fan of the franchise but only done a couple rps in the past. would ideally love a situation where we write multiple characters or even double and world-build our own shatterdome. you look me in the eyes and tell me mentally and emotionally connecting with someone (to fight giant aliens) doesn't go hard as fuck. you can't because it does.
ii. fallout. the only setting i don't require writing mult characters in, idrc either way! would pref new vegas or making our own setting/location(s) not explored in the games.
iii. retrofuturism.  inspired by fallout: sci-fi futurism based around thematic satire of 1950s america and critique of capitalism, maybe dystopian or post-apocalyptic. i just think it'd be a really cool setting. maybe set on an abandoned mega-ship or space colony the higher-ups have given up on, or even earth the wealthy/corporations left it in the dust for new horizons. (can still go the route of mutated creatures or alien specimens or something.)
iv. stardew valley x pokemon. exactly what it sounds like, just stardew valley inspired with pkmn instead of animals. a small town dying out until a new farmer enters the picture. differs from the other ideas in that there's no threat of death or anything (though drama is more than welcome), just basically just escapism in its purest form lol.
vi. alice in wonderland. this one's the most extensive because i really want to build a world with someone. fantasy/dark fairytale/horror based on alice in wonderland. but i'm not interested in writing anything based on other inspirations of alice in wonderland (like the live action movies); i'd want to make our own interpretation. open to victorian era dude falling into fantasy dimension or regular modern guy, either way it'd be the classic arc of "main character's daily life is interrupted by getting entrenched in a magical/fantastical world." not looking for any edgy "crazy random" humor where it's like "we're all mad o_O xD"/"normal is just a setting on a washing machine" type stuff. maybe the dude is just straight-up alice (alex? alec? ellis?) or more of a figure to fit a role, maybe "alice" is just a title and they're all meant to fulfill a role and there've been other "alices" in the past, who knows.
