howdy, i'm randy! i'm a 19 year old queer guy, and with quarantine i've been re-binging favorite shows, so all the free-time i've got on my hands means i'm itching for a solid rp. being a queer guy means i'm looking strictly for m/m content, since it's hard for me to keep interest in m/f relationships. no offense, but i've read that story already. give me some good content, babey! more info under the cut
some things about me:
- i've got about 6-7 years of experience and i write in a literate, several-paragraph style. i've seen people call it novella, but back in my hay-day of RP, my friends and i called it 'purebred' lmao. i never really kept track of word count, but i can say that i've gone over chatzy's 4000 character limit a LOT, and that's like. uhhh 8-10 paragraphs i think?
- i tend to avoid smut! i'm typically a fade-to-black person, simply because writing it out is uncomfortable for me. however, this doesn't mean i shy away from other nsfw themes! i live for some good angst around horror, gore, etc. my only limits are dubcon/noncon and alcohol
- i'm a little old-fashioned, so i do prefer chatzy! my discord will be below as my main means of ooc contact, but i prefer keeping any actual RP to chatzy because it's double discord's character limit (and i never remember to check my email). if losing posts is a concern for you, worry not! i save all our content both in a file on my laptop and on a google doc so we've got plenty of backup
- i like ooc chatting! art, memes, playlists and the like are my forte. don't be afraid to talk to me outside our RP, but be forewarned, i may never shut up about my partner
fandoms i'm looking for:
- avatar: the last airbender - everyone binged this beauty when it got put on netflix, and lemme tell you, i'm in love. the show already handles its themes wonderfully for being targeted toward kids, but i want to get into them more. that being said, i'm looking for our own OCs, preferrably during aang's arc! i already have a character that i've been dying to put to good use, which gets into the nitty gritty of how the fire nation wasn't the only one to have bad people. fight against propaganda, stew out some of that tasty character development, and maybe find some romance along the way. (footnote: i'm absolutely open to writing against a canon character, but i'm not looking for doubling!)
- miraculous ladybug - similar to a:tla, this show's lore has so much potential. i would absolutely kill to write our own ladybug and chat noir, with dibs on chat! the time period is totally up in the air; before or after our beloved adrien and marinette! i just want to really delve into what this story could really be.
- boku no hero/my hero academia - i'm about to hear some booing, but i'm a sucker for some good bakudeku. i'm almost finished with season 4, and oh boy. OH BOY. i have a lot of opinions and a lot of feelings and i would kill for some well-developed, adulthood bkdk. i have experience writing both izuku and katsuki, and if you're okay with hearing me bounce off the walls about the au fic i'm writing, that's even better
- how to train your dragon - FUCK the hidden world. fuck that. it didn't happen. you can't convince me it happened. they spend httyd 1 AND 2 establishing that dragons are loving, intelligent creatures with senses of undying loyalty to their loved ones, and then they turn toothless into a slobbering square dog who abandons his platonic soulmate of six years for a shiny axolotl he's known for a few days? that didn't even get a NAME? HELL NO. i'm down for writing either toothless or hiccup, and i'd absolutely kill for a dragon!hiccup au, whether he was born as a dragon or somehow got turned into one. i'm just a giant sucker for the absolute bromance between these two boys
- rise of the guardians - another kind of out-there idea, but i'm a giant softie for kozmotis pitchiner. i read the guardians of childhood books as a middle schooler and fell in love with them. admittedly, i want to delve into blackice, but with pitch coming to terms with his old identity and maybe realizing how corrupted he's become? the shadows are the real villains here, lbr
- fairy tail - admittedly, i haven't gotten through the whole series, and i'm not even completely sure that i will. but i've been on and off binging it the last few days, and i just adore natsu and all the openness about dragon culture and how he was actually raised by igneel. who were his birth parents? is there actually dragon magic in his blood, or is it a learned art? is there dragon blood in his heritage that gives him fangs and scales, or are those side effects of his magic? we know it can be imitated, so what makes firsthand dragon slayers really authentic? personally, i'd love to get my hands on some good gratsu content, especially messing around with culture clashes and natsu not knowing how to explain the differences because he doesn't understand why there even are any
