Try to use this on the colors something like
this one.And if your image is dark try to; Duplicate The Layer
1) First I opened
this image from
here and cropped like
this 2) Added some Selective Color (Layer
Reds:
Cyan: -44 || Magenta: +19 || Yellow: +65 || Black: 0
Yellows:
Cyan: +100 || Magenta: 0 || Yellow: -40 || Black: 0
Whites:
Cyan: 0 || Magenta: 0 || Yellow: -56 || Black: 0
Neutrals:
Cyan: +13 || Magenta: 0 || Yellow: 0 || Black: -11
Blacks:
Cyan: 0 || Magenta: 0 || Yellow: 0 || Black: +18
>>
3) Selective Color again for get some reds.
Reds:
Cyan: -50 || Magenta: +51 || Yellow: 0 || Black: 0
>>
4) Time to Solid Color (Layer
Soft Light at Opacity %100 : #464242
>>
5) We're gonna go with Solid Color again!
Difference at Opacity %100 : #100202
>>
6) Now we need some different color.So Solid Color again.
Screen at Opacity %100 : #4d4c1c
>>
7) We got the green color.It doesn't seem good at all so we need more and last Solid Color.I wan't dark and red color more.It may not work on your icon maybe you can try to add some Selective Color for get some result like mine (Selective Color
Overlay at Opacity %100 : #000000
>>
8) It looks better with Sharpen so Merged all layers (Ctrl+Shift+E) and go to Filter
>>
And You're Done!You can ready to add textures or whatever you like to add...Hope you'll like it as much as I did =)
