Real horror.
I had the pleasure of reading HP Lovecraft recently and he certainly gave me the chills what with his use of adjectives in describing the Great Old Ones. Chilling.

But there's real horror. Real mind numbing horror in the world.

I just finished, mercifully finished reading a book on what I think is the most appalling, darkest failure of humanity in humanity's history.

This book has pictures.

I could only read a few pages of this book at a time as it made me physically ill. I experienced nausea, vertigo and felt dazed as though I were in a stupor.

But it was very important to read this book.

This book was about the Holocaust.

Specifically, this book was about those who deny the holocaust and why they do it.

I started to read this book because of the situation in Japan and the fact that the Japanese government continues to deny their level of guilt in the atrocities commited by Japan in WW2.

I can say that the same overall principles apply between Holocaust deniers and the right wing Japanese. Truly disgusting and contemptible.

If a poltician denied the Holocaust they would be censured and unwelcome. I don't understand why not for the Japanese right wing politicians who do likewise. For example, Shintaro Ishihaha, governor of Tokyo, stated that the event popularly referred to as 'The Rape of nanking' never happened! Astounding.

I guess that the world has given up on expecting Japan to be decent. But then again with the inward looking nature of the government it is more important that the government have enemies rather than friends.

Unbelievable.
