Dear Vajra Family

Many of you in the community would have known Tenzin Tsewang, as a friend, as a fellow student of Rinpoche, as a musician or as a cook. Tsewang passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening in Canada, where he had been living for the past 2 years. He was healthy and happy and had taken an evening walk, when he had a heart attack. He was rushed to hospital but they were unable to revive him.

Tsewang was one of Rinpoche's early students, and was very committed to the teachings. His grandfather, and father in Tibet practiced Nyingma Buddhism, and Rinpoche's teachings were a profound connection to his heritage. As a musician and actor, Tsewang touched many people all over the world with his beautiful music and stories. He was a highly creative individual and saw potential all around him.

Tsewang will always be remembered for the gifts that he left behind, and the many hearts and lives that he touched. Please remember Tsewang in your practice.

Chogyal Namkhai Norbu and Tenzing Tsewang "Gawala"
