24 hours in milwaukee

well a little while ago i got back from a short trip to milwaukee which i would have to say has been one of the highlights of my vacation. one of the great things about being unemployed is that you can do whatever you want, whenever you want, i'm definitely gonna miss that freedom come monday

but anyway, yesterday morning i drove up from IL, and matt drove in from madison and we met up at joel's in good old brookfield, WI. the 3 of us packed a cooler and headed to the miller brewery to hit up the free beer tour. here is a sweet pic of me and joel by the miller high life truck

so after the tour (parts of which were really hilarious) came the best part which was the free samples. i had leinie's red, leinie's honeyweiss, and miller lite. which one of these is not like the other? well let me tell you, it was the best damn miller lite i've ever had. i think my light beer allegiance might be switching from bud to miller, you never know

following that we went to miller park and set up our $10 walmart grill and cracked our 12pack of pabst. a few innings later (6 innings later) we made it into the game, the brewers ended up winning 4-3

we then headed back to joel's, hung out for a while and then ended the evening with a classic ice nightcap. this morning we hit up the pub to watch the USA/ghana game, what a disappointment.. oh well.

that's it for now, lucky boys show tonight, the year after show tomorrow night, Raabe Fest 06 on saturday. this is gonna be a kickass end to my vacation
