Legal Name Change, Etc..
Okay so some of you know that I've been talking about this for a while.... like over a year LOL. About me changing my name. I finally got this shit done! Yay! I'm not quite sure what was holding me back before but I'd kind of just put it off and make excuses to myself and bla bla. And occasionally Scott would be like so...when are you going to get your name changed...? yadda yaddda. So I'm not sure if I finally just got tired enough of him asking or I just wanted it done before Sebastien was born or a mixture or what but about a month ago I finally dragged my butt to the court downtown and started the process :)
I went back on Friday to finish the last step, and let me tell you, I was pretty excited. The reason it took that long was because I was waiting for the newspaper that I had the namechange printed in to send me the affadavit. Ugh I waited like 3 weeks because they were backed up like a week or two. But whatever because it's done and I am now officially and legally Raquel L. Gray! It's kind of funny to say that..or write/read/whatever.
After my long arduous day dealing with going in and out of the building (I was sent BACK to the post office to resend my documents to the DMV and Social Security) like 4 times - seriously. I went to the bank to make a deposit as Rachel Humphrey for the last time :D I changed my name with them and ordered some new checks (Wizard of Oz, bitches!). So now I need to also change the name on my utilities and I think that that'll be it!
So for those of you who still call me that wretched name that I've never liked, if you call me that from now on, you're going to get hit. Seriously. Because now you don't have the excuse of "Raquel's not your real name." :D It is now, suckas!
Scott is no longer at Stand-Up NY and is back at working at home. This time, it's final. There was a lot of drama there and now he doesn't have to deal with it so yay :) That place is going to be going to hell in a hand-basket, just you watch. These guys are dumb. dumbdumbdumb. They are doing the most ridiculous, non-sensical things which are just going to undo all the good that Scott has done for the better part of a year. Idiots. OH well, not really our problem anymore :) Everyone on staff misses him, though.
Stormy is getting big and saying a lot of new things. He's hilarious, he really is. Although sometimes I just want to smack him because he's being such a turd and throwing a tantrum and such. Yesterday he was climbing the chair in the kitchen like he always does and I always tell him to get down/take him down and tell him he's going to fall....well he finally fell. He did not like that one bit. Funny though how him falling on his back didn't teach him anything. He was back to climbing it later in the day. Boys. @.@ He was trying to get an apple out of the bowl on the table. And by "apple", he could also mean banana, kiwi or pear. IDK he calls prettymuch all fruit/vegetables "app-o" or "app'mm" which means apple. LOL.
OMG yesterday I was looking for my keys and was on the floor looking under his dresser (he likes to put things away for mommy - how nice) and Stormy puts his finger on my right calf and says "tattoo" right ON my tattoo! XD I shit you not.
Sebastien Phoenix Gray is due in just about 4 weeks. I have mixed emotions about this. I feel like I didn't really get to enjoy this pregnancy like Stormy's. I'm definitely more of a bitch this time around. HAHAHA.
School is almost over, too! June 2nd is my last day but then I have a final on the 11th. I spoke to my professor about my concerns that if I'm indisposed aka in the hospital what I can/should do. And he just said "Don't worry about it." !!!! That everything I've done so far has been A or A+ so I'm going to be fine and the lowest grade I'll get will be an A, and that I still might even get an A+! Holy shitballs! Fucking amazing! He also said as a sidenote that even if I just don't "feel like" coming in to take the final not to worry about it. !! haha afterall how would he *really* know that I'm *not* in the hospital? ;) But if I can make it, I probably still will. IDK that's probably kind of dumb because I've been given a free pass but it would make me feel like I actually did finish/accomplish something. Graduation is the next day, but I'm not going. I'm going to be too hot/uncomfortable and do not feel like sitting for HOURS in the heat. Plus Stormy is not going to behave for that long, stroller or not. Then from the 14th - 16th I believe, they're doing the CPE exams which I still have to take on one of those days. If I don't take it, it counts as a Fail. And I already "failed" in March. >=O
So yeah. Hopefully I am NOT in the hospital on one of those days. Actually I just need to not be in the hospital for the first day of the exam. Baby can come after if he chooses. Ugh by then I'll be REALLY READY for him to get out LOL. Ugh if you've ever been pregnant, you understand!
