Who's been ignoring the internet in favor of Track and homework??
THIS KID!
So yeah, wow. I'm not even sure how I managed to join track, seeing how it's been years since I last did it, but here I am. Running. Fast. What the actual fuck. I don't even know. But, it was a good workout today, so I am tentatively enthused for the moment.
So this week was the entire semi-nerve wracking audition experience for Select/Octet next year. I auditioned Monday, got the callback for Wednesday, and the results were posted today and....I made Women's Octet as an Alto II! \o/
Oh yeah, and my Dad won an iPad. As a freaking door prize. He had no idea it was valuable. He was more excited about the $20 Staples gift card. My Father...
Um yeah, other than that, largely uninteresting. I plan on going to track practice and writing like a mad-woman over spring break. Whoo!
Oh my god, I almost forgot! We ordered my prom dress the other day.
I'm so excited! It's going to be a different color scheme, but that's the style and I love it. Etsy is such a cool place :3
Last thing. One of the guys I go to school with is an aspiring musician and his album just came out on iTunes! He calls himself Railroads and Skyways, and the album is Goodbye For Now. Definitely recommend it if you like singer/songwriter type stuff. But, if only one song, go for 'This Is Not A Drill' or 'The Bonfire Anthem' or 'The Storm'. ('This Is Not A Drill' is an awesome break-up song, 'The Bonfire Anthem' is sweet and upbeat, and 'The Storm' just reads really great lyrically about life in a small town. A little cliche, but kind of gorgeous in that way.)
