Author note: Not my best but is part of a larger fic, which apparently I spent most of the night writing but not posting.

Travelling has many positive effects on person.
It can teach to solve problems with the minimum of resources.
It can teach how to bargain to get what one wanted.
It can teach that hand signs where truly universal, specially to beg for food or water.
It can teach to be in solitude, to learn to be with one self.
It can teach how different the stars look, when you are looking at them outside a city, away from the fog and the eternally clouded skies.
But it could also teach you that sometimes, your friends were truly beyond measurable worth, for I truly don't know how I could possibly have gone through the burial of my sister and subsequent nightmare of the family row for the properties and affairs without Holmes' presence and support at every step of the way.
