DORT.con has been really cool. We had a lot of fun at this small SciFi-convention, reintroducing Filk. Around my fierce cough I even managed to deliver several songs on stage - simply using the very, very low range of my voice. I got a serious cough fit on sunday morning in the cafeteria set we did together in Filk circle style (I misjudged a song and it got to high) - but in the middle of a funny song and it somehow fit and with the help of the rest on stage and especially Jela in the audience I got over it and finished the song.
Saturday evening we went to a chinese "All you can eat"-buffet - and we certainly all tried to get down all we could eat - with Robert undoubtedly being the king of the "empty-plate-stack"! :-))
Another highlight for the costuming-geek within me was meeting Dimitra, a lady who's going to move to Pforzheim soonish (yeaaah!) in full victorian attire. She really looked great! She even knows clothsprogs having met him at the costuming contest at WorldCon where she won "Best workmanship/Beginner" (or something like that)...
Funny - the world is really small! We exchanged adresses and as soon as she's moved to Pforzheim will probably meet more often for sewing. She also sings! And has got a piano! :-))
