yes, i am an arashi fan

yes, that particular picture which is used as a limited edition cover in their single Happiness and is used in that live action series Yamada Taro Monogatari

it was a year ago when my cousin lent me a copy of this one to watch. we were so addicted in watching korean and some japanese drama series then. (mainly because of the introduction of some series through the local channels here. we, filipinos dub them as 'asianovelas').

anyhow, a local network aired the taiwanese version of this drama (it's dubbed in our national language). they named it The Poor Prince starring one of Taiwanese F4 members, Vic Zhou. I haven't really had time to watch that version, but i didn't care.

Anyway, guess i'll cut the details... so we watched the Japanese version, and we became instant fans!

an instant Mimura anchan fan, I must say! I liked the drama, not only because I wanted to see more of Mimura anchan but because it's fun and the kids are adorable! Sho acted so cool! cousin told me that those 2 male leads are part of Jun's group. (we knew Jun, thanks to the Filipino dubbed HYD and Gokusen I)

But at that point, I can say I'm not that interested to know more about them until one of my cousins' friend lent us Arashi concert videos to see: include their Summer Concert 2003, 2004 Iza Now Tour, 2006, AAA Tokyo Dome '07, Time Concert '07. She also has copies of  AnS eps.1 to 13, (I remember I saw New Year SP and Aiba Sugoroku); and clips behind their AAA Tour. She's amazing! But what amazed me more is that I had fun watching all those videos even though I can't understand a thing! Oh yes, the files were all raw!

When I watched their concerts, I intently followed Sakurai's every move! So he's the rapper, I even thought he's the group's leader! Anyway, I can't still detach Mimura's character away from him until I watched AnS. (that's another story)

When I saw Nino's solo performance in Time Concert, I was mesmerized. I began watching only that part everyday for a week (or two) before going to work! And I grabbed a copy of Letters from Iwo Jima because I wanted to see him! And golly, wasn't he flawless!

I started to surf about their group more: watch subbed clips online, mostly from YT; read about them in Wikipedia; searched them in Yahoo; looked for their cds or dvds; until I stumbled into an LJ account that exists especially for them! Uh, heaven!

there. so, since then, i can say i'm not as addicted in watching and looking for other dramas to watch because i have something to obsess about

and am really grateful to all the translators and subbers sharing their works. i appreciate all the hard work. i know how hard it is, i actually tried subbing and oh boy, was it hard! so, a heartfelt thanks to all for sharing arashi love!

and i do not claim all pictures posted here as mine, they might be edited but no, i still do not own them

arashi
