On the Sea, on the Sea, on the Beautiful Sea...

Today was spent in Dominica. It was quite fun - the Rainforest Tram Ride was interesting - we didn't really see any birds, but our tram guide, Channel, was fun - every so often she'd serenade us with a popular tune. She's a very good singer and is working on recording her first CD. The scenery on the tour itself was awesome - very lush. Unfortunately, my camera batteries died shortly after the ride started, but another rider offered us some spares and it was muchly appreciated! Today it was sunny and in the mid to upper 80's and moderately humid. Minikin got a bit of video of Channel singing after we got off the ride.

After getting back to town (Roseau - the capital, which sports about 17,000 residents) Knight went back aboard ship and we gals browsed through one of the local marketplaces and bought a few small souvenirs. Then we went back to the room to relax for a bit, had a late lunch at 4:30 (well, "breakfast" was after all not eaten until around 11), then went back to the room, where we relaxed the rest of the evening and had room service for dinner. We watched some of our favorite TV shows (got to watch The Amazing Race and Boston Legal) and now we're heading off for an early bedtime, with the ship gently rolling (okay, not so gently every now and then) beneath us.

Tomorrow we reach Barbados at 7am. We're taking the 9:15 Harrison Caves tour so we need to be up around 7 in order to have time for a good breakfast beforehand. That first tour will last for about 2 hours, then we'll have the afternoon free for exploring on our own if we want to, then we're taking a sunset catamaran cruise at 4pm, which will last for three hours. Afterwards, back to the ship for some fun and games.

Here's a quiz courtesy of solitaryrose14. And now, off to bed.
