Had a late but yummy dinner at Saul Good's restaurant. I had an Amazon deal for $22 worth of food that only cost me $11 when I purchased it, so our bill tonight after the discount was under $5 for the food, and with tip only $10. I tried their Crab Rangoon flatbread - it was good, and I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Hubby got one of their burgers.
Afterwards, we dropped by The Cheesecake Factory (which stays open until 11:00 pm) and each got a dessert to take home. I got the S'mores cheesecake, and he got a piece of their Blackout Chocolate Cake. We are still digesting dinner a bit (it was around 9:00 pm when we went out) while watching Agents of SHIELD, and will have a spot of tea with our dessert.
I fully expect to put half of my dessert in the fridge, too, LOL.
As a reminder, I still have my
Holiday Card Poll going on. It will probably be open for about two more weeks - I will close requests on the 17th as we will be leaving home on the 19th, to drive down to Texas for the Christmas holidays (and where we will be on my birthday, which is the 23rd).
I mailed out the first batch of cards today, and I appreciate knowing if the cards get to their destinations safe and sound. If anyone feels like sending a card back (completely optional) my return address is on the envelope.
In other news, I'm completely stoked at having made it to be one of the Top 35 contestants in
therealljidol for season nine! Now I need to decide which of my pieces from this season I want to submit for critique to The Killing Floor. I'm currently debating between my Week 2 entry for
The Missing Stair and my Week 20 entry for
Rapture of the Deep.
We are allowed to edit the entries if we want to, so I may give them another once-over, but I'm open to opinions; if not those two feel free to suggest one. Just click on the lj_idol tag if you want to go back and skim through. :)
I guess that's all for now...
