Swap Box & Blogger's Book - w00t!
This is journal entry # 6,040! Wowzers. Admittedly, it has taken 10 years and 2 months to write that much stuff, but it's still pretty impressive because it averages out to like 1.5 posts a day or thereabouts.
Anyway, when I got home from work yesterday I found an awesome gift box waiting for me from Australia, courtesy of the wonderful maelstrom!
Inside the box were the following items (starting from the back left of the photo):
* Tango 8 - a compilation comic strip book with the theme of "food and drink"
* A print of the Southern Cross using a 6-hour exposure.
* A blank journal with the title Bloggers I Met and Liked on the cover.
* A book "Follow the Rabbit-Proof Fence" (true story). I actually watched the movie version of this on our plane ride to Australia a few years ago, so I'm looking forward to reading the book!
* Tim Tam chocolate cookies.
* A multi-flavor "Dairy Milk" Cadbury bar (various flavors of fillings).
* A package of gummy snakes, which I am nomming at work and have shared with some of my co-workers. The flavors of the snakes are: juicy orange, wild blackcurrant, delectable smooth banana, and ripe raspberry. They are all delicious!
* Liquorice bites (strawberry).
* An Aero bar - yum!
* Maltesers malted milk candy, which I gave to Knight because he loves malted milk balls, and
* A card for the Chinese new year!
Phew, that's a whole lot of stuff!
Now, here's the thing about the Bloggers I've Met and Liked journal - I've met a whole lot of you guys, and I gotta say I've liked everyone that I've met thus far!
As far as I can recall from looking through my Flist, I've met the following fine folks at some point or other. Please note that my list does not include LJers that I've known since pre-LJ times - y'all know who you are - or have met due to other reasons, like the folks in the starbase_karma group.
Here's who I've met specifically because of Livejournal. If I've accidentally left you off and you don't fall into one of the groupings I've mentioned, please let me know, because I want to ensure you get an entry in my Bloggers journal:
baxaphobia, blueashke, canuckgirl (sadly, now deceased), cheesepuppet, chite, clauderainsrm, copyright1983, desert_rose, gratefuladdict, heathog, littleblueghost, maelstrom, misalady, sra33, welfy, worldofcharlie, and xo_kizzy_xo.
