Weekend Update

A fairly ordinary weekend, as far as it goes.

Highlights:

• Saw Soul Surfer at the discount theater. Very good movie, although to be slightly snarky Helen Hunt seriously needs to invest in some good moisturizer. Kevin Sorbo and Dennis Quaid were awesome as always, and AnnaSophia Robb was quite good in her role as Bethany Hamilton. Much to my surprise, Carrie Underwood (aka American Idol winner in 2005) was excellent in her role as the youth group leader.
• Saw Cars 2 in 3-D. A fun movie, and the 3-D adds a nice touch to the feel of the movie.
• Watched Battle Los Angeles on DVD. Typical "kill the invading alien horde" movie, but fun nonetheless.


• Got my car cleaned inside and out. Smells "tropical citrus" fresh! Also got her oil changed this weekend, as it was about 1000 miles overdue. Whoops.
• Made some Shepherd's Pie last night for supper with minikin and Flar. Also brought over some crescent rolls. minikin made an ooey-gooey batch of homemade caramel brownies, which got served a la mode. Yum!
• Ran two loads of laundry. Bought a new laundry basket at WalMart. Also bought 3 new summer shirts. Not that I really *needed* new shirts, but they were pretty and inexpensive, so what the hell.
