RIP Follow-Up
In reference to this post about canuckgirl.
Knight got a box in the mail today - minikin brought it in when she and Critter and Flar dropped by upon hearing the news. We didn't recognize the name on the return address label, so Knight was stumped until he opened it to find the receipt and the gift - a Hallmark ornament of a Gopher sitting in the 19th hole, the one from Caddyshack. It was from Cathy, she sent it to Knight as a belated Valentine's Day present after getting the card he'd sent to her.
It's sad because that little Gopher is always associated with the song "I'm all right, don't nobody worry 'bout me."
I think it's a message from the Great Beyond. We've lost her here, but she's okay - she left knowing she was loved, and that's all anyone can really hope for.
Dammit, now I'm crying again.
