Here's the before and after pics for comparison's sake:
BEFORE: Cluttered but cute.
AFTER: Composed and relaxing.
Since it's still a cell phone pic, there was only so much improvement I could do to the photo, and I can't help the flourescent light glare on the large poster, LOL. The 2 ft x 3 ft poster to the left (same frame as before) is of a well-manicured English style garden with hedges and pink and white flowers within the hedge design. The subheading reads, "Perfection: Success is the art of doing ordinary things in extraordinary ways."
To the left of the poster is a black & white diagonally zebra-striped square with a pink fleur de lis framed in silver at the center, with a hook underneath it that will hopefully hold a jacket. To the right of the poster is a pink painted canvas about 1 foot square with a pale pink swirl design and white text that states, "Wish it, Dream it, Do it." Underneath the canvas is a hand-painted rendition of a purplish sunset scene featuring black cats sitting on top and around Stonehenge, matted on purple.
To the far right is another painted canvas with a black floral design on a light pink background, framed with a black and white plaid pattern. At the top right of the screen is a large pink swirly flower made of metal, maybe 18-20" across.
At the very bottom of the photo you can see the top of a boring brown office chair, newly decorated with a purple pillow that features swirls of aqua, green, and bit of orange. There's a delicate leopard print chandelier design in the lower right corner (which isn't visible in the photo) but it coordinates nicely with the brown chair.
The Cat & Mouse poster in the before photo got moved down the hallway since it was too cute to throw out. The Star Trek poster is still in the large frame behind the new poster. The red Tinkerbell card and my Stargate: SG-1 picture got moved to a short wall near my desk. The balloon, the Monsters vs Aliens poster, and the mermaid poster got tossed. The Puerto Rico potholder (which had been hanging just above the chair) will be brought home where it belongs.
And that, as they say, is that! =)
