What's Cooking, Good Looking?

Haven't posted for a couple of days - must be why my emailbox is so empty!

Let's see... on Saturday, I got my hair trimmed (my bangs were getting too long again), and dropped off 3 large bags of clothing (some of which was Knight's) at Goodwill, which included three pairs of shoes and our old blender. I then bought one navy blue hoodie shirt at Goody's which was on sale for $8, marked down from $40 retail. I figured since I was getting rid of a ton of stuff, I deserved *one* new item in return, right? Afterwards, I went to a Mary Kay pampering party at minikin's house. Per request, I brought my chocolate fountain with me, and we made good use of it - dipping strawberries, bananas, angel food cake, pretzels, and marshmallows into the yummy chocolatey goodness.

I also bought some Mary Kay products, which have made my face feel *amazing*. Good stuff!

I scheduled with the consultant to have a Mary Kay pampering party at my house on Saturday, September 8th at 3:00 pm. If anyone would like to attend, please let me know! The consultant (Hilary) will be coming over early to give me a glamour makeover and take some before & after photos, so that I can see which of the makeup products I want to purchase. I pretty much only purchased skin care products, eye makeup remover, and lip care products at minikin's party - the only actual make-up I bought was the Eyesicles creme shadow, which I loved, having admittedly never used creme eyeshadow before.

Since we had *lots* of chocolate left over from Minikin's party, we're going to be using the chocolate fountain again at my house, with similar dippables as listed above. So even if you're not all that interested in buying any MK stuff (purchasing is optional), come just to try the products and enjoy the chocolatey goodness of the fountain - help us use up the 3 lbs of chocolate (the minimum recommended amount for using the machine) that we bought, and of which we probably have 2.75 lbs still left!!

Dinner plans were initially to have the creamy crock-pot chicken for supper that I'd let simmer all day while at minikin's MK party, but at the last minute we all decided to go out and see Stardust at the Movie Tavern instead. So, Saturday evening, Knight, myself, Minikin & the boys (Tigger is growing like a weed right now!) went to the Movie Tavern. It was the first time Knight and I had been there. Stardust was great - right up there with The Princess Bride. I really enjoyed Robert De Niro's role in it - too funny!

The food at the tavern was good too - I had the BBQ Chicken pizza - and the seating was comfortable: leather-like rolling office chairs in front of backlit counterspace - great for eating at!

As far as today goes, I slept in then used my crockpot to make some pinto beans per Knight's request. It's actually a mix of pinto beans and some Great Northern beans, with some julienne ham added. I had too much beans for the crock-pot, so I cooked the rest on the stovetop (sans ham), and am nibbling on some now for a late lunch - yummy!

Oh, and for those who enjoy crock-pot cooking, I *highly* recommend the Reynolds SlowCooker bag liners - just line the crock-pot, cook your recipe, remove the liner, and presto - totally clean crock-pot!! That's MY kind of cleanup, LOL!

Right now, I'm catching up on some Big Brother After Dark while Knight sleeps. I probably watch about 2 hours out of each 3 hour recording, what with fast-forwarding through the parts that don't interest me. :)

And now, a quiz from purplemia - my Transformers Quiz result:
