The Bulldog Boys finished behind Catholic High School and tied with Episcopal High for second place. The boys were pleased with their second place finish. “I think we were gangster for finishing second this year. There is no shame in losing to a powerhouse like Catholic,” said senior J.P. Gwaltney. The Lady Bulldogs finished third behind St. Joseph’s Academy and University High. Bulldogs finishing in the top five in their event(s) included Maxwell Burch (2), Garett Guidroz (2), J.P. Gwaltney, Shade Neubig, Alex Schott, Dana Thomas, Jamie Wright (2), and Taylor Wright. Swimming Coach, _______ Newport, and the rest of the state qualifiers are looking forward to the state competition. “I think the girls have a pretty good chance this year, since we have added more swimmers,” said junior Shade Neubig, who qualified for the state competition.
