My.. what LJ tamasha in bangalore, total drama complete with a suicide.

I feel really silly saying this, but I will say it anyway. Its alright if Hindi or Kannada gets wiped out of india, what's important is that we need to learn how to live together happily ever after.. like in fairy tales, u know. I mean this sounds childish..but this country really needs it. Some people don't seem to realise this.
But that thread really reminded me how constipated some people are in their outlook towards life. Intially when the thread started I really thought that something worthwhile might come out it. Boy, was he nitpicky and insulting.
Intially I was trying to be really balanced and unbiased, but I really got pissed to no end when I heard him say something to the effect of karnataka is his home and that outsiders have come and pushed him into a corner of his own house.
Shit.. our individuality better have a core which is independent of the cultural baggage.
The sad thing.. his going from LJ does little good. I wish he had changed his outlook.
As an aside.. you know fus, I recently bought a book by kuvempu. Its called the house of kanuru. I had heard about it while in bangalore. Haven't read it yet, something you wrote in that thread reminded me of it. :) Have you read it.. how would you rate the translation. though i bet you wouldn't have bothered to look at the translation.
