Now What?!
Today was the final for my sport marketing class in which we had to do a presentation on how we (my class which was split into about 6 groups of 4) would propose a marketing plan to advertisers for Major League Lacrosse. This stunt was inspired by our professor after we established a link with ESPN/Disney/ABC after doing some volunteer work for them, and one of their reps mentioned they are giving MLL one last try to be a seller on ESPN. With the possibility of money/jobs/internships possibly offered to the group who comes through with a breakthrough idea, I came up with the idea of doing our presentation mainly based around commercializing the MLL and came up with (thanks to Microsoft Photo Story) a commercial that would have been kick ass. However, my group encountered a brick wall whilst doing the presentation. Being that I do not trust the technology used by the campus (and rightfully so) I brought my lap-top just in case. Turns out I was correct in my prediction with campus technology when we discovered that the Windows Media Player is outdated and has the incorrect codecs to play the file. Fine, I have the lappy. So I hook the projector to the laptop, only to find the projector is outdated and is incompatable for presenting video. THE FUCKING PROJECTOR IS OUTDATED?!?! WHAT BUMBLE-FUCK DID I SIGN UP FOR?!?! So we ended up just going with our Power Point presentation.....ONLY TO HAVE THE PROJECTOR BURN-OUT HALFWAY THROUGH THE PRESENTATION!!! So after fucking with that peice of shit for 5 minutes, we pick-up with the presentation, but ooops, sorry, we have reached our 20 minute time limit, ON THE COUNT OF TECHNOLOGY THAT DOESN'T WORK, YET I HAVE TO PAY AN EXTRA THOUSAND DOLLARS IN TUITION FOR IT!! FUCK!!!
