To sum up...
Happy Birthday to Lilly (a wee early but I won't be on later though). And the same to others if I miss your birthday. I'm not around as much as I used to be.
Morgan had a pretty good birthday despite all that tried to prevent it. I can't believe he is 7 already. We're zeroing in on a house we like, unfortunately it's still in Kansas. However we've not been able to find an area we like and can afford outside of Kansas. And we'll be well out of the city which makes all of us happy, if everything works out.
I think we're going to start saving for a weekend at Snowcreek in Weston for our 10th anniversary, it's a long shot from our goal of Platinum Wedding Bands for our 10th but it's the best we can do.
This will be remembered as the summer charity stole. Some of you know that my brother and friend Rob both came up totally homeless at the same time. Ones blood, I had to help. The other would never let my family go homeless if he had anything to do about it. So... I let them move in. They ate there way through all of our savings, our entire "stimulus" check, and then some. Now the utiility bills that represent the additional use are rolling in (now that they've moved out). We'll make it, and have had it worse, but I'm grateful Morgan doens't really know how badly he got screwed over this summer.
I just wish I wasn't so resentful as a result of doing something kind. But at least my brother saved up and moved out in one month, my friend squandered a thousand dollar savings. Over two months saved no money at all (living bill free) and only moved out because his new girlfriend agreed to let him move in.
