Yeah, I think it is going to anti-climatic on the front that the "promotion" everyone was up tight about. I don't think anyone is going to do/say anything public about it.
There were some rumblings though - my program manager ("new" manager) talked to my former manager about the promotion, my lack of career movement and she took it back to her manager who did the promotion. Not sure, if what, anything is going to come of any of it, but I'm already applying for other jobs.
So, I'm now coaching this kid who got two promotions over me, although I'm trying not to. Just now I forwarded an idea to him and he forwarded to the client. Really, I need to stop doing that. Because he has the "skill set" that I don't have, right?! LOL! Even my manager admitted that he lacks the serious experience for the job, but I won't say anything. Getting pissy isn't going to make my situation any better, so they just have to live with their decisions. Meanwhile, I'm checking websites for the companies I actually want to work for. :)
My weekend was nice and long and quiet for the most part. Kidlet when to her Auntie's house, I had a talk with my niece from the brother I don't like, (and was blunt with her regarding the lack of relationship between her father and myself and yet, was positive that I supported her in her decisions to be herself and break away - she's 20) found out said brother was moving back to PNW. Ugh. My oldest brother started playing WOW (World of Warcraft) with my other brother - but that brother wouldn't let him play like he wanted - so he refuses to play with him. Meanwhile, he's been playing with me and another friend of mine in disguise. Even got Rem to come back and play with us as well - he's been in gaming limbo since he quit WOW.
He and his wife (Aut's favorite Auntie) look terrible. I'm worried. Hard to say what is going on, except depression - which runs in the family and is quite honestly, contagious.
Have to keep a closer eye on them now.
Been thinking of doing writing thing this Novemember. Been thinking about writing a lot. I need to do more - play less. :) Need to start warning my friends.
