You do realize that this is what the writers strike (and what the actors will strike for next year) is about? Internet viewings like hulu.... just about everyone involved in the creation of the shows we love like Firefly (Joss Whedon & the other writers, the cast, etc) gets a whopping ZERO cents for it. Only the moguls make any money off it (from advertising dollars).

It's a serious issue because it's part of the writer's (and actor's) pay to get the residuals... it's like how waitresses get $2/hr and are expected to make up the rest in tips. And not everyone works at posh 5 star restaurants where they can make hundreds of dollars in tips in one night.

Right now, instead of running the episodes a 2nd or 3rd time (re-runs) on regular TV, studios are putting them online (either free or for pay, ie ITunes) and so writers aren't getting their fair pay for the 2nd and 3rd usage of their scripts.

Bottomline... Joss Whedon and all the show creators that make these shows we love? Would rather you not watch anything online until the studios make a fair deal. (Not cause Joss and Tim Kring and etc need more money but because their staff writers who make more what we do won't even get that if the studios get their way).

Boycott Internet viewings until the strike is resolved fairly. It's not just the writers.... actors and director's guilds will be asking for the same things when their contracts come up in 2008. If they don't get it, they'll strike too. Need to make this strike hit where it hurts, in the studio wallets. Watching stuff on Hulu will only put money into their pockets.
