Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Nan, I miss you so much

I got her two roses for her birthday, I can't put them on her grave, as she does not have one yet, but I still wanted to buy her something...There is a white rose and a red rose, those were the colours of the roses my Grandad grew in the garden, she always said how much she liked them...I love roses...I also got a frame today, I'm gunna do what I did with the roses Manny got me, after a few days, I'll frame them, so I can remember the good times....I'm putting a picture of my Nan and Grandad in the frame too...They will always be a big part of my life... here are the roses.......

I found this poem in a book I got from the library, I liked it...so I thought I'd put it on here, it's not really a birthday sorta poem, more of a goodbye one...

She is Gone

You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live today
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she's gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

I think it's a good poem.....

Rest in peace, Jean Margaret Kingham, gone but not forgotten.....and never will be......Happy Birthday
