I've been to a few discussion boards where they keep complaining that Wolverine gets too much screen time in the movies, and how sad they are because Gambit's cameo got cut

Hehe.. I've made you a Gambit-fan and I'm so proud.. I don't know if I wanna agree with you or not. If I do, I'll betray the "Want Gambit now" part of me even tho what you say do make sense.
But as for a X4.. Nah, believe in a possible future spin-off tv series more than a fourth movie from Brian Singer.
Wolverine rocks!! (Gambit is no1 of course.. but while I'm waiting..)

You made me curious to Gambit of course, then I saw some cartoons, and read a few comics and found out that you were actually onto something. :) But Wolverine is my number one!
Also, the people behind the "X-Men" movies say that they want it to become a movie-series like "James Bond". Personally, I would love that.

Well just as long as they keep it going..:) TV series would actually be a good idea cuz then you get a fix *every* week instead of waiting 3 years! too too long..
They can easily keep a movie series going with all the characters and storylines IMO.

Well, I wouldn't mind a TV show. Hell, bring it on! But they tried it once before, with "Generation X".
3 years is too friggin long, but I would rather let them spend 3 years and coming up with a great result, as supposed to giving them one year and then receiving crap. "Rush a torture, ruin a torture." :P
Re: Why are we waiting..why are we waiting...tygerxSeptember 22 2003, 21:43:59 UTC
too true! well just gives us something to look forward to.. ;) Yea that show did flop..hmm. Never did watch that show, what characters were they?? Still think though that if they did it right it would work. I mean c'mon! Maybe with the success of the movies they'll consider it.. :D
There were two "mad for tv" characters; Refrax & Buff, and then there was Jubilee, White Queen, Banshee, Skin, Mondo, and one that I can't remeber right now.
It was just a TV-movie, it was actually supposed to be a pilot for the show, but it never got picked up. And now they've made "X-Men: Evolution" instead.
But I would love a "X-Men" Tv-series if they could do it right!

Thanks for the scoop! however your website is down at the moment.. boo. :( so i'll check again later. Is this pilot available to see somewhere? I'm sure *someone* has it on ebay, lol.. but not worth paying for I bet. ;)
It's nice to have the toon around to watch, but live-action would be too cool. I'd be kinda surprised if they didn't attempt to make some money that way. I think maybe that pilot flopped cuz there wasn't enough people who knew about it. The movies *really* made a lot more fans.. and now they would have a bigger audience.

It was probably a bandwith problem... but that kind of makes me happy, means that I'm getting traffic... am looking into a site with better bandwith, but then I've gotta pay.
You'd probably find "Generation X" on ebay. But the thing is that all the vrs sold there are copies, cos it was never released on video or anything, just for TV. But you can get your hands on it.
It's not too bad actually, but the bad-guy got on my nerves, he was like Jim Carrey on speed! Oh, and White Queens wig was just terrible, but other that that it's an ok movie, but far from anything you'd be willing to pay high prices for.

Looks like it's back up so cool! Very nice site btw.. i will definetely be bookmarking it! Oh man only 4 more weeks til the dvd.. *woo!*
Yea I won't kill myself over gettin Gen X.. just curious to check it out. I did see a website on it and was surprised that Finola Hughes played Emma! Maybe cuz of the accent or something. Ah well, maybe one day i'll come across it. I have a friend who digs Emma cuz she kinda resembles her and has a 'tude too! Would be very cool if she does end up in a future movie. Not too many blonde comic ladies out there huh?

Thanks. ;)
Gen X isn't worth the hassle, but I would keep an eye open for it on the telly. Seems like it popping up someplaces. You could always check it out on IMdb. I thoght Finola as Emma was just wierd... she wouldn't be my first choice for that part!

yea definetely. Sometimes I wonder about these casting people and their motives, lol. I remember there was this cool site before the first X-men came out, and it had lists of potential actors for each character.. can't find it now though, bleh.

Maybe we should start a petition for a Tv-show?
