General Ramblings

Had a nice evening with the girls yesterday. I wasn't feeling a 100% coz I'd got my period. Luckily I wasn't totally messed up, and the painkillers seemed to work.

Beluga  is doggie sitting, so we joined her for the evening. We didn’t really do much, just chatted and reminisced about old songs, sung a couple, even though I can’t sing. :p Ended up turning on CD’s instead.

Saw J.C. Chavez on Top of the Pops, I was let down… that boy has a strong voice, why doesn’t he use it?

Anyway, we watched a little telly as well. I don’t remember much else. I always get a bit groggy when I have my period. I got home late. Got rather sick. Don’t think I slept more than a total of two hours last night. Pain killers wouldn’t work… and still won’t. Trying to focus on other stuff.

Anyways, over to more positive stuff:

The case of the missing battery.

As I wrote a couple of weeks ago, my group managed to loose a battery while filming. Anyways, when I came to class the following week I asked Lisa if it had been found and she said no. I still can’t understand what happened to it.

Anyways, our teacher informed us that it seem like we won’t have to pay for it anyway. I’m very pleased about that to say the least. It’s still not a 100% sure, but I can only hope. J

I do find it kind of weird since the boss-guy was so pissed last week. I have a theory that they’ve found it, and don’t want to tell us that they messed up. Not a lickely senario, but I don’t care.

As long as I don’t have to pay 25 pounds, I’m happy.

Old birthday cards.

Was going through some old letters last week, trying to clear some space in my drawers. Anyways, I found some old cards from my 18th birthday and had a little peek. In one of the cards I found 200kr! The last thing I had expected to find. It was in a card from an old friend that I’ve sadly lost touch with.

I knew it was a good idea to hang on to those old cards. J

Pirates of the Caribbean, second viewing.

I’m still not impressed. I watched it now, knowing what to expect, and unlike last time this time I wanted to see it. There might be something wrong with me but I just can’t go all crazy over this film, I was actually slightly bored.

My faves in this movie are Johnny Depp and Jack Davenport. To be honest I doubt I would give Jack a second thought if he hadn’t been in “Coupling”.

You know…. I’ll just link you to my previous post on the matter. HERE.

I’d just like to add a few comments to that.

  1. I get that Barbossa is supposed to be humane and all that, but he’s a pirate for crying out loud. He should be more intimidating. Like the “I feel cold” thing tho…
  2. Keira bugged me as well in this movie… her character is ok, and as I said before, I prefer strong female characters to the whiny ones. (Only reason I sat through both Tomb Raider films… though the Scotsman in number two was nice.)
  3. Orlando Bloom… stop giving this boy big budget roles dammit! He brings the movie down! Well… I think I mentioned this last time… Think it’s about time I shut up…

Just to shorten down my final verdict: This movie wouldn’t be worth much without Johnny Depp. Actually think I'll stick to borrowing it from Isen.

Think that's it for today. Am leaving for Germany on Wednesday, Beluga  will be joining us. Will be muchly fun. :)
