Almost two months since I left, I found myself looking upon a familiar sight. I was home.

It just so nice to be back home, gawd. I was getting pretty sick of London toward the end. Plus I really miss my mom's cooking, according to her I've lost weight again because I don't eat properly while I'm in London. Kind of hard when we get stuff like carrot-lasagna and spinach soup.

Aaaanyways... over to the last week:

Wednesday: Birthday celebration 1.

Camelia had decided that we should go out since I'd be alone on my actual birthday.
We went to a local italian restaurant, we were joined by Linn and Camilla, two girls from the house. They had very nice food, I'm definitely going there again. It was a nice evening. They gave me a little jar with chocolate and a cute little card.
The food was great and I had nice company, so all in all I had a good evening. :)

Friday: My actual birthday.

Got up at 5 a.m. to get ready and head for the airport. Taxi arrived at 06:30 and I was on my way. When I finally got to the airport I had to get my tickets changed since I was actually going home next week. That didn't take me too long, so I was left wandering around for an hour before I could check in.
I was so sure my suitcase was gonna be too heavy and was dreading check in, because I was sure I would have to pay again. When I finally checked in it turned out my case only weighed 20.03 kg, which is just at the maximum allowed weight. I got in and just had to sit in the lounge waiting for info on which gate I had to go to.
My aunt from Germany called me up on my cell and sang "Happy Birthday" for me. She's so sweet. :)
I went to a shop and bought Total Film Magazine, it had a big pic of Hugh Jackman, and Kate from Van Helsing on the cover, so that was a good enough incentive to buy it. ;)
Finally got my gate number and got on my plane, finally I was on my way home! :) The trip went great and there were no problems. Besides the fact that I'm developing air-sickness every time the plane is going to land.
It was great to be home, I had  welcoming comity upon my arrival, which was very nice.
The rest of the day was spent in total relaxation. Opened a few pressies.
Got a new battery for my video camera from my parents, which was greatly needed.
Got a very nice sweater from my dog. (Yes, my parents give presents from our pets.)
My Aunt in Germany also gave me a very nice sweater & a radio that has moving lips on it.
My Aunt in England bought me socks and two books: Robin Hobb - Assassin's Apprentice (the first in the farseer saga) and Terry Goodkind - Wizards First Rule.
So I have some good reading material already. I've read Assassin's Apprentice before, but it's a very good book, so I'm happy to have it in my library. :)
I went to bed really early that evening, had had a long day.

Saturday: Birthday celebration 2.

Slept for a long time, but was still rather tired when I got up. Invited all my friends over for the eventing, and prepared what I could in advance. Took it easy until the evening.
In the evening Isen was the first to arrive, to be honest I expected her to be the last since she came from work. BELUGA  came shortly afterwards. I sent a message to Camelia, and she said she would catch the first bus. Isen, BELUGA  and I just sat talking for a while, we had some catching up to do. :) When it started getting a bit late, we decided to start eating as my parents were going to join us. Camelia was rather late and finally came almost an hour late when we were getting finished eating.
I opened some more presents.
Isen bought me two books: H.G. Wells - War of the Worlds and J.R.R. Tolkien - Sauron Defeated
BELUGA  got me a t-shirt with a Wolverine picture on it! It rocked! It fit perfectly.
Camelia got me two books: Robin Hobb - Royal Assassin and Assassins Quest (Second and third in the farseer saga.
We had a rather quiet evening, spent some time just talking and relaxing. Was nice to catch up with friends.
Saw "Finding Nemo", it was very cute and amusing. Think it been quite a while since I got stressed by an animated movie! Hee, I liked the turtles tho, feel like kidnapping one the next time I'm at the zoo.
When the film was finished we talked some more before they had to catch the last bus home.

All in all my birthday has been good. I've now got quite a lot of reading material, which I am quite happy about. But for the coming months I'll have to focus on my school-books. Fun reading will have to wait until summer. :)
I've still have to pressies on the way, or so I've been told. :P

Now I just have to get used to being 22, Geez I was barely used to being 21...
