Supernatural - 203

I thought I should get down my thoughts on the latest episode of "Supernatural". Spoilers behind the cut.

Supernatural - 203 - Bloodlust
I kind of understood that the hunted in the opening of this episode was the creature. I have no idea how I reached that conclusion, maybe because this one was done different than all the other openings in that we didn't really get a clue as to what the attacker was. And when he chopped the girls head off I was pretty sure there was another hunter in town. Awesome opening though.

And the Impala!! That opening was pure Metallicar-porn! Seriously, any rabid car enthusiast had to felt the effects of that scene! The music was just perfect for that scene as well!
It was a joy to see the car back though, and Dean happy, and all protective of his baby.
Dean: Woo... listen to her purr. Have you ever heard anything so sweet?
Sam: You know, if you two want to get a room, just let me know, Dean.
Dean: (to the car) Aww, don't listen to him, baby. He just doesn't understand.
I've never been a big fan of the type of filming they did there to show the car. The pimp-my-ride type shots, just to show off the car. But in this setting, I didn't mind at all, it worked, it's Dean's baby and I think the fans are just about as happy as he is to have it back.

And we got two costumes in one episode! Two! This is the fangirlie bit where I just have to squee over Dean in the Doctors outfit. How is it these boys can look so damn hot in about every thing they put on?
Okay, ahem. Back to the episode. Those scenes were funny as well. I just loved both the costume scenes.
Sheriff: What newspaper did you say you worked for?
Dean: World Weekly News.
Sam: Weekly World News.
Dean: World...
Sam: Weekly World News.
Dean: Wor... I'm new.
Sheriff: Get out of my office.
Awwww, boys.
And they way Dean quoted "The Silence of the Lambs" had me laughing like a crazy person. Seriously. The whole exchange between them in that scene was great though.

Sawmill, that's all I'm saying... sawmill.

This is my fave of the two Vampire centered episodes. I loved Amber Benson's character, she looked really good with black hair too btw. Anyway, I kind of would like to see Lenore pop up again at some point. That's 4 people from the Jossverse so far, and I'm loving it.
As for Eli, I think I was the only one who had a little squee when I saw him. Eli was portrayed by Ty Olsson, who is the guy Jensen Ackles kicked the crap out of in "Dark Angel: The Berrisford Agenda (#2.11)"  he also had a role in "X2", he's the guy who Magneto sucks all the iron out of. So yeah, anything that will link me to other fandoms makes me very happy.

As for Gordon, I knew straight away something was up with that guy. He was one messed up S.O.B. And I hated him for taking advantage of Dean. I so wanted to kick that guy's ass. Though I'm pretty sure he'd cut my throat before I managed to punch him, but still... I loved the fight he had with Dean though. And when Dean bumped his head into the wall at the end. Lol. And when Dean hit him before they left, I cheered. However, I'm sure we'll see Gordon again, you don't cross a guy like that without it coming back to bite you in the ass.

I know many people drew parallels between Gordon and Gunn from Angel. It was one of the first thoughts that hit me too. I didn't really mind though.

And the moment which I'm sure made a thousand fic writers die of joy, or you know, just squee their way into a coma.
Dean: You alright, Sammy?
Sam: Yeah, I'm fine.
Gordon: Well, lighten up a little, Sammy.
Sam: He's the only one who gets to call me that.
It was good though. I loved that bit too. There were so many good bits in this episode.

Dean hitting Sam. I was sure they'd have a fight at some point in the season where punches would be thrown. I just didn't expect it this soon, which also leads me to believe it will happen again. I applaud Sam for not hitting back though, he knew where that hit came from, and I also think Sam knew that Dean would be sorry about it later.

At the end. I felt so sorry for Dean again. It's not like I never feel sorry for Sam, I do, it's just I feel he's doing better with the whole situation, so I tend to focus on Dean. I think it meant a lot to Sam that Dean thanked him for sticking around. They're both carrying around a lot of questions and doubt about everything right now, so they have to be there for eachother.

I have many thoughs, but those were the only ones I could access at the moment. Another great episode.
