Just thought I'd write some more.

Mom's home!
We got mom home today. It's nice to have her back, but she has to relax and stay off her feet so now it's up to my dad and me to keep the house in shape. That's not so easy when mom just can't relax because she keeps coming up with things she has to have done. I'm doing my best at keeping her off her feet. We can't have any visitors the first week because risk of infections, doesn't really help that I'm still getting over the flu. I don't mind not having any people over, the most important thing now is that my mom gets back on her feet. I'll hook up with my friends outside the house. ;)

Makeover day.
I had my makeover thingy on thursday, it was pretty fun actually. I just got there and a woman did my hair and makeup. I had to wait a little while before my photo session. That was pretty fun, my photographer was good looking, so it wasn't hard to smile. ;) When I was finished I had to wait an hour to see my pictures, so I went to a little cafe and just relaxed with a fruit salad. I went back to studio when I was finished to have a look at the pictures. I don't usually take good pictures, so I wasn't really expecting anything, but it actually looked good! I was pretty happy with the result. I'll get an album with the pictures in february, so then I'll get a real look at them and will pass my final judgment. Am looking forward to that. The reason for having to wait that long is because I'm in Norway now, and won't be back in London until february, so they said that they'll send it then. I haven't told my parents about this, I want to surprise them with it when I come back for easter-break. :)

"The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King"
I think I've decided that this is the best one. I've had trouble deciding, but that's mostly because there's soooo much happening in "ROTK" that I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. I absolutely loved this movie, I cried, I laughed, I wanted to kill some people, and give comforting hugs to others.
There were of course some things that bugged me, and things I missed from the book. Legolas' lines left much to be desired, but I guess my feelings on that point are clouded by the fact that I think Orland Bloom is a shitty actor. I love Legolas in the book, and think that he could have been done much better.

Now, to the things I missed from the book:
Nr.1: The Cirith Ungol storyline was severely cut down and I found it way to easy. I was looking forward to Sam's singing, but that was not included. I had a suspicion of this when I bought the CD, but still had a little hope. I know it won't be included in the extended vrs, just because of the way the scene ended.
Nr.2: There was no House of healing scene. I know that these have been shot, because there are pictures! I'm hoping the extended vrs will make up for this, but time will tell. I just't felt that a whole chunk in the middle was severely trimmed down. I understand why, but I still missed them.
Nr.3: Most people were pissed because Saruman was cut from the last film, and I understand the frustration, even though the scenes at Orthanc were nicely handled, I did miss him being there. Am hoping the extended vrs will make up for this, and I know Chrisopther Lee agrees with me. ;)

That's all I can think of right now, even though I know there was something else. As I wrote yesterday, most people seem to feel that the ending goes on for to long. I say to them; "watch it again, and see how you feel".I really loved the last scenes, and was savoring them, because I knew that the movie would soon be over, and there's nothing like this to look forward to next
year. Also, the ending should have been a hell of a lot longer, if they'd followed the book.
There it is, it's all over. No more Hobbits or wizards. Nothing, it's no more. No more stages of the journey. What are we supposed to look forward to now? Tell me, please!
I must admit that I'm hoping for "The Hobbit" in 2006, like the rumors have been implying. But what I really want is "The Return of Frodo", "The amazing adventures of Hobbits". Whatever!!! I want more!
I'm going to see "ROTK" again, after christmas eve most likely. Am really looking forward to it as this will allow me to enter Middle-Earth again, and maybe wrap my head around the pieces I'm still trying to remember.
