wow. third update for today! eep! i'm going crazy. but i assure you that it will be followed by a long silence. as is my custom, as you may know.
i'm going to the opera tomorrow. it's a french opera by offenbach, called "tales of hoffman" and it looks to be interesting. except, of course, that it is in french. i really do prefer bristish operetta. gilbert and sullivan are ubergreat.
also, i have to do two more art reviews for my religion class, and i'm somewhat at a loss of what to review. i think i'm going to talk about tennyson in my next review because i got the thumbs up from my teacher that the assignment is not restricted to visual art. i may do a music review, or a movie review as well. i don't know. they are due by the end of the quarter.
also due by the end of the quarter is the "creative response" final for my religion class (anything that will show how i identify as a christian in the world today), as well as the final project for my british lit class (an anthology of british literature comprising the four periods we studied in class: eight authors and 8-16 works, and an introductory essay on why these authors best exemplify the periods in which they wrote), an essay for my english class (still have not gotten the assignment yet), an essay rewrite for my english class (if i don't like the grade when i get my paper back on monday), and then, of course, my finals to study for. i only have two written finals, one for english and the other for history.
next year all three of my finals for autumn quarter are on the same day, and they are all essay writing finals. so six straight hours of writing essays to look forward to! yay!
i've begun packing up my belongings to store/ship home. i think i'm going to either rent a storage space because i don't want to have to pack everything into boxes and then seal them and address them, or else i will try and find someone who is staying local this summer and see if i can store my stuff there. i am definitely taking home a handful of posters (trainspotting, lost boys, labyrinth, pirates), some clothes that either i know i'll wear or i need to wash (yes, i bring home dirty laundry because it is free to wash it at home), books and movies (which i'm actually shipping home), my cd player, my batman lava lamp, and my blanket my mother made me.
anyway, i'm sure that i have more than exceeded my update limit today. now i ought to start studying...
