I am still alive!
Since returning from SA I've moved to four places now! At last, I am here now for a year. Beautiful apartment with no neighbors just above an Italian bistro all in my old hood from my fourteenth year. In a way, it is absolutely perfect. That young girl fourteen years ago, having traveled all the way back here now, after all that has been and changed, it has all sorts of perspectives given me. I am happier and more excited about life than I have been in some time.
Finally I quit the restaurant. FINALLY! Knowing I should have left so long ago, I am glad I waited till Geoff moved on as well as Faith. I would have hated to left them before they had found other options as we all worked so well together. Now, I feel I can relax a bit more and focus on the future.
Having taken on a job in a consignment shop seems odd. A retail setting? Working with women? But it has benefits, place to advance, and the owner and I are so alike in the meaningful aspects that I can take on her place when she is absent. Being the only other than her full time I also don't have to deal with the medial aspect of sales and spend most of my time in the office with software, number crunching, and loooong term clients, while delligating work to the floor worker.
Friendships have been very difficult lately. People are only now returning from the summer highs and excitements with so many stories and changes. I haven't seen Roboturtle, Sterling, or Janika almost this entire summer! This last Tuesday was possibly the first this entire spring to summer I hit up the phods. It was nice to drop in on two friends whose birthdays I would have almost forgot of otherwise.
Sum things up:
Less stress, MORE ART!!!
More time, less conflict.
Sanctuary settling in for my mental energy.
Ah. I shall have to update every so often to read back on for my own records.
