So I traveled across the world to see Ramstein!
We saw them live, on floor yesterday. It was an amazing show with high tech pyrotechnics and fire works. They had a guy in a fire suit lit up running around, and special masks that allowed them to blow fire out of their mouths during the show. Wires set up to let fire works travel over too!
Best show of all time.
It was a long "Que" we had to stand in almost two hours before the show. It was the Coke a Cola dome, and sure enough everyone was drinking Coke in the line up. Everywhere I go, I have to say, 80% of the people are holding a bottle of Coke. All major events are named for or sponsored by Coke. The family here drinks at least 8 2L bottles a week between three of them. If Michelle doesn't have her Coke at the end of her work day, you must hide in fear or run to the store to fetch. Hah. Not a joke!
I find it weird for many reasons which I will place in my hard copy journal rather than here.
RAMSTEIN!
Our friend Jon who works as editor for FHM magazine was backstage interviewing the band. Afterwords he asked us if we've join him and band members to a strip club, or I quote, "getting some beers with the band, what you up to, two of the members here are looking for pussy, you got?"
HAH
Well later from the strip joint they asked for our address but ended up neck deep in pussy and never came, but we were still really fucking close to hosting the band here with the pool and stocked bar. We can at least say we were known by Ramstein and they had our address with possibility of after partying with us!!! ahhh
I've noticed a lot of other things here which are so different. Honestly, I feel out of place a lot of the time and try my best to keep my mouth shut because I know I am so different and most likely one of the only Canadians here. Frightening. I can't go anywhere without a chaperon, whereas I used to do and go as I pleased. Most days I never leave the property unless an errand needs to be done; and then I have company in so.
I admit, the lack of independence is getting to me and I am appreciating Canadian freedom so much more. Soon we will be in Capetown in an international hostel where everyone has different customs. I truly miss that.
Tiss all for now.
Adieu
