The Poop
► Overall I think I've handled having a cat pretty well, given my obsessive compulsive disorder. That said, I really could do without Stormy's occasionally kicking or dropping poop outside of his litter box.
► This morning I received a phone call from my disability pension caseworker. She had gone over my receipts I brought in last week and I will be getting an increase in my pension, a whopping $15. My share of the rent increase alone is $12.50, so it seems a little light given the jump in gas and electricity. But ah well, beggars can't be choosers. Also, because the cut off date for changes to pensions was yesterday and my file was updated today, this means I have to wait until the end of October before I receive the increase. Of course.
Incidentally, I found out that the most I can get for "shelter" (rent, gas and electricity) as part of my pension is such that I would never be able to afford to rent an apartment on my own. So that was disheartening.
Back to wishing on stars in the night sky for a lottery win.

► The Hollywood Reporter: 'Manimal' TV Series Being Turned Into Movie at Sony Pictures Animation (Exclusive) - Remaking something that wasn't successful to see if you can make it successful and get it to work seems like a much better idea to me than taking something that already was successful and making a watered down inferior version. But then, I'm technically crazy.
