Pop Goes The Cat
► Just before 6:00am the power flipped off for a moment before coming back on. When this happened there was an audible "pop" sound. Deana was in the front room watching a DVD and she heard it too, on the other end of the apartment. Neither of us could tell which direction it came in, or whether it from inside the apartment or outside. I checked the lights and looked around the apartment and saw nothing that could have caused the sound (the breakers were all fine too) so I'm assuming it was a transformer outside (we live next to power lines).
No, not that kind of transformer. Dammit.
► The brief power outage/"pop" seemed to really scare Stormy. For several minutes after it he was acting very strange. At one point he charged across the apartment past me, stopped midway in the hall, stood up on his hind-legs, back and hackles arched, front paws dangling in front, and proceeded to hop sideways back toward me 3 times before suddenly flipping and running past. It was an incredibly disturbing image as I had never seen him move like that before. It was as if he being lifted by invisible marionette strings. Or demonically possessed.
He seems calmer now, so that's good at least.
► Dorkly Comics: A Game of Skyrim Tag - From chat:Derek: I've never played Skyrim but this amuses me

► CBR Robot 6: Shelf Porn Redux: Karl Heitmueller’s ‘dusty work of art’ - Now that's a lot of Superman action figures. It makes my collection of little over a dozen seem quaint.
► The Drawing Club: Bride of Frankenstein - That's a heck of a lot of Bride sketches.
► Poison Ivy Sideshow Exclusive Edition Premium Format Figure - Guuuh, I like her hips.
► 9gag: Women's logic... - Just to be clear, I do find this amusing, but don't take it remotely serious. Although I really don't get the eyebrow thing. I like full eyebrows.
► ArtAntiques.cz: Tomáš Kučerovský: Špatné století - Born in the wrong century? This makes me sad.
► Ain't It Cool News: Meet the OmniCorp Corporation (And The New ED-209)! - Given the director's previous comments about the movie, I'm surprised it's looked as much like the world of RoboCop as it does here. Does this mean it won't be "HumanCop" after all?
► I'm a bit infatuated with this picture and this gal right now, a French Canadian fitness model named Veronique Morin. That's the extent of what I know of her. Daddy likes.
