Worry Wart

► I think I'm finally inching towards a nervous breakdown. Yesterday I was feeling really good and chipper all day, until last night when my computer suddenly started going ape shit and I started getting hit with the full force of all my pent up worries and fears. Things have been brewing for awhile now and I'm starting to really feel it now. The building worries about my pension (I'm supposed to have a review this year but it may not happen for another year), the possibility of losing my computer and with that any semblance of a life and friends, Dean's missing the past 4 weeks and now missing this week (all with no regular source of income for these lost weeks), the constant fear and worry about her moods because of all this missed work, my worry about losing the apartment should something happen, and now the worries about what all this means since I now have a cat, which is further leading to my worrying about how I can take care of Stormy if something happens to him (either sickness or an accident).

I'm feeling really stressed this week.

► Oh, for... A few weeks ago we finally changed the old loose handle on the toilet, and it was good. That is until I went to the washroom this morning after Dean and discovered that the new handle was broken and irreparable. Just dandy. The damn thing didn't even last a month.

Dean had to go out late in the day and said she'd pick up a new handle, but when she returned later in the evening she had forgotten it and instead bought a new 32" flat screen TV. Because she can afford it, right? Yeesh.

Speaking of TVs, we seriously have to talk to Dad about his old flat screen TV he gave us last summer. It ran fine for 2 months and then died and it's been sitting in the center of the apartment and we seriously need the space back. It's an older model so it's huge and weighs damn near a ton. It's time to get rid of it.

► From chat:Matt: You hear about GI Joe?
Derek: the movie? ...no?
Matt: pushed back till March
Derek: of next year? whaaaaaaa-?
Matt: for 3D conversion
Derek: oh for fuck sake...
Matt: yep
Derek: yeah, cause 3D conversion aaaaaalways goes so well
DC Comics Blog: SUPERMAN FAMILY ADVENTURES: Character Designs - Designs for the new all-ages Superman comic book series. Fuzzy the Krypto Mouse looks really cute. I guess DC must have finally decided to make their own version of Mighty Mouse after all these years. A rip off of a rip off, 70 years later.

DeviantART: Does he look like a bitch by iiigor100 - Now that's funny.

9gag: What if we treated every illness the way we treat mental illness? - I've heard a few of these a lot.

9gag: City art at its best - Some of these are better than others, of course. It's a fine line between graffiti and art, and I think some of these are definitely art, though I suspect most were quickly removed.

Nerf NOW!!: Bread Sharing - I'm not sure it's quite the same thing, but it's funny and I get the point.

People: Jim Parsons Quietly Comes Out - I think the bigger shock is that Jim Parsons is 39.

Devil Doll Tumblr: Favorite Humans In No Particular Order... - Four great animated GIFs of Cary Grant, one of my favourite humans too.

[FULL] Horse - King of Nut Shots - America's Got Talent 2012 New York Auditions - Howie Mandel says what I was thinking at 3:40 into the video. Ouch.
