The Immovable Object

► As of today it's officially only 2 and a half weeks until Dad returns from Myrtle Beach. Thank goodness. Hard to believe it's been 5 weeks since he left.

I've been thinking about Deana's agreement to take me to the hospital on Saturday because of my vertigo (and now headaches). With my nerves the way they are I'm actually too scared to try to leave the apartment while suffering from the dizzy spells. I think I might just remain in the apartment and try to wait out whatever is causing the spells (I think my anxiety and tenseness over the vertigo is why I've been having headaches the past few days).

My fear of something being seriously wrong hasn't surpassed my fear of going out while in this state yet.

► I was having a particularly persistent dizzy spell so I laid down for a little while and turned on the television. While flipping the channels I stopped on Entertainment Tonight for a few moments, and they mentioned how Glee star Lea Michele is the new spokes-model for Candie's. They showed a snippet of video where she gave us this bon mot:"I think affordable fashion is important because everyone has the right to have cute clothes."
The fashion may be affordable, but that was priceless. For the record she may have said "clothes that are cute."

Slashdot: SOPA-style Amendments Dropped From C-11; DRM Provisions Not - This is in regards to the Canadian bill I mentioned last week.

Jon Hamm and Kim Kardashian have the most attractive disagreement in Hollywood - So Jon Hamm uses Kim Kardashian as an example of how current celebutante obsessed society celebrates and rewards "fucking idiots", and Kardashian responds with a chastising speech about all the hard work she does and her accomplishments... and then posts skimpy pics of herself to promote her underwear line. Yeah, I don't care either.

Hamm's right, though I still like Kim's ass.

CBS Renews 18 Total Shows, Fate of Two CSIs Left Up In the Air - Ah, good, The Mentalist is returning too.

9gag: Imagine what happen next. - Easy, he made a few more deliveries and she ate some pizza.

Joe Kelly Previews DC/Warner Home Video's 'Superman vs. The Elite' - I've been looking forward to this DVD release since it was announced last year, but man does Kelly make it sound so unappealing in the article with all the talk of political allegory being added to the film and original story.Derek: that said, I still want to see it
Matt: The animation looked sharp
Matt: surprisingly did not make it look like the comic, which is what they usually do
Derek: wonder if the footage is on YouTube
Derek: I'm glad for that
Derek: the artwork in that issue is just a muddy mess
Matt: I think that's a big part of why I didn't like it
David Mitchell's SoapBox Channel (YouTube) - On Monday I amused myself by watching all of David Mitchell's short 2:30 minute rants and found them all very funny and most spot on. Shame the DVD is only available in Region 2 encoding. Anyway, here's his rant about Male Grooming, which is something that's annoyed me more and more in our metrosexual era (I was going to post the video about Necrophilia but thought I'd give you all a break).
