► Busy day today, out running errands with Dad. Usually on our weekly excursions we end up visiting my grandmother, but since we had so many places to go we ended up not seeing her. It's fine because Dad had been over yesterday and we'll see her next Friday when we're out.
Usually I get my groceries either at Walmart or the higher end grocery store near my apartment. Today we went to the "medium" end grocery store near Walmart because they were having a sale on the Hungryman TV dinners I buy (they're usually $4 to $5, but where on sale for under $2). It was a bit disappointing to discover they were completely sold out of the turkey and Salisbury steak dinners. I ended up buying 3 boxes of the fried chicken dinners and 2 "Sports Grill" jumbo popcorn style chicken dinners. Turns out I bought more than I should, as the freezer is now stuffed full. That's fine, I had one tonight for supper.
I don't know if it's the weather or if I twisted it without realizing, but when we were at the grocery store I realized that my right hand was hurting. The pain is this arthritic like burning ache in the bones. It's been several hours but the pain is still nagging.
Old age setting in.
► So I downloaded the now Free-To-Play
DC Universe Online, and so far it's been incredibly unimpressive. It opens properly, and plays the fantastic opening video/movie set up, but when it switches the the character creator something is very definitely wrong. I can see all the graphics for the options and selections, but where the actual figure animation/graphics should be, there's nothing.
Years of wanting and waiting for a DC Comics
MMORPG and I finally get to play it, only to find out it won't work properly. Turns out this is a common problem with people who downloaded the game today. Methinks Sony wasn't actually prepared for the Free-To-Play switch over. Oops.
I'll keep trying the game for another week, but then I'm deleting it. A 14 GB download and nothing to show for it...
