► Today I'm feeling a lot better. On Monday and Tuesday I had a bad case of diarrhea, which I think was caused by the frozen tourtière my paternal grandmother had made for me last month, which I cooked Sunday night. It was delicious, but god it didn't agree with me.
Tuesday night I got a phone call from Dad inviting us over for supper last night, because my maternal grandmother was in town visiting. Normally I definitely would not want to go anywhere since I ended up sick Tuesday night, and I usually can't go out if I've eaten the day before, but since my grandmother is 88 and I rarely get to see her since she moved out of town, I went. I'm glad I did because my stomach ended up being all right and I was able to eat supper, and it was nice getting to see Mum after so long.
While it's a minor thing going to your father's place for a meal, in the constant struggle with my nerves it was a nice little victory for myself.

Chinese express horror at public indifference to toddler hit-run victim - I have to wonder if the passerby reactions would have been the same had the toddler been a boy and not a girl, given the historical ill-reputation toward baby girls in China. Also, I can't help but wonder how much of the outrage in China is genuine appalled shock at the apathy, or more feigned shame at the world seeing regular casual apathy systematic of the culture. Honestly, I don't know either way.

10 Worst Comic Book Animated Series of All Time - Is it just me, or do quite a few of these entries seem more along the lines of "it's not as well known so it's on the list" rather than genuinely awful shows?
I actually had the action figures for
Ant-Man and
Wasp from the
Avengers: United They Stand animated series. Probably still have them buried in a box somewhere.

Quote of the Moment
Ann Barrett: What did he do to make this house so evil, Mr. Fischer?
Benjamin Fischer: Drug addiction, alcoholism, sadism, bestiality, mutilation, murder, vampirism, necrophilia, cannibalism, not to mention a gamut of sexual goodies. Shall I go on?
Ann Barrett: How did it end?
Benjamin Fischer: If it had ended, we wouldn't be here.
